Buying Books? |
Excellent choice. Use the search bar at the top of each page or Buy Books at the menu bar. You can search by title, author, ISBN, course, or class name. If multiple books are found, you will be able to choose from the search results.
When you have found the book you would like to purchase, click the "Buy It" button. You will be prompted to create an account with your UPenn email address, or you may log in if you have already registered.
You can pay with your credit or debit card online. If you are not on campus, you have the option to put the book on hold until you get here. An email will confirm your purchase.
When the book is ready for you to pick up, you will receive another email with instructions. You will have 72 hours to pick up your purchase from House of Our Own bookstore (3920 Spruce Street). Bring your PennCard for ID. Then throw a party with a money you saved!

Selling Your Books? |
Piece of cake! First, make sure you have all of the following:
1. The ISBN number of the book you want to sell. Click on Sell Books at the menu bar and enter the ISBN number of the book you would like to sell. It's usually on the back of the book above the barcode and 10 or 13 characters long.
2. The price you want and the condition of your book or books. Buyers want to know what they're getting!
3. Your Penn email address and PennCard for identification purposes. You can log in if you already have an account.
Your books will be listed and available for sale. Once you have made a sale, you will be sent specific instructions by email. Next, all you have to do is go to House of Our Own bookstore (3920 Spruce Street) and bring the book, your printed and completed drop-off form (attached in the sale email), and your PennCard ID.
Within about fifteen days, you'll get your payment credited to you through PayPal! From there, you can transfer the funds to your bank account or use them for other PayPal purchases. It doesn't get any easier than that!
